HOW TO DONATE
Turns out “oral history” is deceptively complicated. It’s one of the reasons why no one has accomplished this yet. From the airline tickets, to video and audio engineering required to film each interview, archiving, and beyond- this mission is time consuming and expensive. Time consuming, expensive, & yet worth every penny.
This is our biggest help and constant battle. Whether you are an individual looking to help in a small way or an organization looking to sponsor a nonprofit helping veterans, we are always in need of assistance to get crews to reunions and towns across the U.S.
Send an immediate donation through Go Fund Me or fill out the contact info to speak to one of us directly.
The biggest expenditure for the team is the airfare, car rentals, and hotels required to get us to the veterans. Something as simple as a donation of unused airline miles can help us take that first step towards recording a veterans oral history.
One of our goals is to tell this story in these men’s own words as they lived, breathed, and bled them. Not only is this through their personal storytelling but also their own Vietnam photographs and videography. We choose to honor this aspect of their story, photographing and filming them on the same equipment and format they took with them into the Vietnam jungle. Working film cameras are far and few in between these days. If you have one laying around you’d like to donate to the mission, we’ll take it off your hands.
